It describes two characters of something. It is often used before adjectives and verbs.

 

这车又 亮又滑。

zhè chē yòu liàng yòu huá

This car is bright and smooth.

 

我的姐姐又聪明,又漂亮。

wŏ de jiĕ jie yòu cōng ming , yòu piào liang

My sister is smart and beautiful.

jiù shì      

Just. (Spoken Chinese)

 

他什么都好,就是没有钱。

tā shén me dōu hăo , jiù shì méi yŏu qián

He is all good except not having money.

wŏ men dōu xiăng qù , jiù shì bù zhī dào nĭ qù bú qù

Actually, it is often used at the beginning of a sentence, meaning  “realized something suddenly”.
